We watched on Youtube a documentary about the Himalayas. The Himalayas is a mountain range in Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bhutan and China. In this mountain range is the highest mountain in the world: The Mount Everest. In the Himalayas are more mountains. The Himalaya contains 49 peaks above 7000 meters of which 9 are above 8000 meters.  

The Himalayas are inhabited by 52.7 million people. And some of the world's major rivers— the Indus, the Gangesand and  the Tsangpo-Brahmaputra —rise in the Himalayas.

The Himalayan range is one of the youngest mountain ranges on the planet.

The Himalayan range is made up of three parallel ranges often referred to as the Greater Himalayas, the Lesser Himalayas, and the Outer Himalayas.
